The nurses in your clinic will give you training on how to do the exchanges and to troubleshoot any problems you may encounter. They will continuously support you while you are doing your treatments at home. Training for PD takes approximately 1-2 weeks, but can take longer in some special cases.

You do not need a partner for PD, although a family member or carer can learn to assist you, if needed.
