You will need to follow the recommended diet prescribed by your doctor or dietitian.
You will also need to follow recommended fluid intake prescribed by your doctor.
Headaches, cramps and nausea are some of the occasional side effects you may experience on HD.
Many of these side effects can be avoided by following the correct diet and taking medication as prescribed by your doctor.
If you experience one of the side effects, report it to your nurse or technician.
These symptoms can often be treated quickly and with immediate relief.
